Galvanized pipe, also known as galvanized steel pipe, is a kind of pipe that has been galvanized on the surface of the steel pipe. This treatment is mainly to enhance the corrosion resistance of the steel pipe, thereby extending its service life, and is used in various environments where steel has anti-corrosion requirements.
There are two main types of galvanizing processes for galvanized pipes: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel pipe in molten zinc liquid to attach a layer of zinc to the surface of the steel pipe. The zinc layer formed by this method is thicker and has better anti-corrosion performance, which is suitable for occasions with high requirements for anti-corrosion performance. Electro-galvanizing is to deposit a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel pipe through an electrochemical method. The zinc layer formed by this method is thinner, but the appearance is smoother, which is suitable for some occasions where the requirements for anti-corrosion performance are not particularly high.
Our galvanized pipes are crafted from high-grade carbon steel (Q235B, A36, etc.) with a uniform zinc coating, delivering exceptional corrosion resistance and long service life. Available in two core types: Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG) pipes (thicker zinc layer for outdoor/underground use like water supply, construction scaffolding) and Electro-Galvanized (EG) pipes (thinner, smoother coating for indoor scenarios like HVAC, furniture frames). Offered in standard diameters with threaded or plain ends, each batch comes with MTC, complying with ASTM A53, BS EN 10255, and GB/T 3091 standards.
Our galvanized pipe products cover both seamless and welded types, all manufactured through automated production lines with precision processing. Seamless pipes are formed through hot-rolling piercing and cold-drawing processes, followed by high-temperature hot-dip galvanizing (zinc temperature accurately controlled at 450-465°C) to achieve metallurgical bonding between the zinc coating and base metal. Welded pipes are formed via high-frequency welding (ERW) technology, integrated with online eddy current weld inspection and internal blowing/external scraping processes to ensure uniform zinc coating. The entire production line is equipped with laser diameter measurement systems (tolerance ±0.15mm), real-time zinc coating thickness monitoring, and dual passivation treatment. Compliant with ASTM, JIS, EN, and other international standards, we provide galvanized pipe solutions with strong corrosion resistance, high dimensional accuracy, and suitability for demanding applications worldwide.
